Women's Gymnastics Wins at Gustavus Adolphus

ST. PETER, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team picked up a 180.275-172.250 victory over Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) this afternoon.

Results

Eau Claire finished the day with wins in four events.

On the vault, the Blugolds claimed the top four places with Dez Stanton (Fr.-Hutchinson, Minn./Waconia) and Julia Stedman (So.-Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) leading the way as they tied for first with a score of 9.325.

On the uneven bars, where Blugolds took the top two spots, Kellie Dougherty (So.-White Bear Lake, Minn.) had the top finish as she won with a score of 9.350. Dougherty also won the balance beam with a score of 9.400.

In the floor exercise, Blugolds had the top five finishes. Elizabeth Stubbs (So.-Wayzata, Minn.) led as she won with a score of 9.375.

The Blugolds will be at the John Zuerlein Invitational at UW-Stout on Friday, competing against the Blue Devils and Hamline University (Minn.). Action will get underway at 6 p.m.
