Men's Outdoor Track & Field Competes at La Crosse and North Central

LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's outdoor track & field team competed at last chance meets at both UW-La Crosse and North Central College (Ill.) this weekend.

Eau Claire won two events and took third or better in five others.

In the 800-meter run, Adam Moline (Fr.-Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) took first with a time of 1:55.14 while the 4x400-meter relay team won with a time of 3:14.51.

On his way to a third place finish, Tyler Genovese (Sr.-Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) broke a school record in the discus throw. He set the school record of 52.31 meters last weekend but broke that record with a toss of 52.33 meters (171-08) this weekend.

At North Central, Jeremy Kieser (Jr.-Verona, Wis.) had the Blugolds' best finish, coming in third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:04.94.

Next Thursday and Friday the Blugolds will compete in two more last chance meets at La Crosse and Augustana (Ill.).
