WHEATON, Ill. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team took down Wheaton College 7-2 on Saturday. The Blugolds won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles matches.
UW-Eau Claire won the top four flights in singles. Hunter Roseth (Sr. - Lakeville, Minn./South) won 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (2) at No. 1 singles. Demetri Bush (Sr. - Edina, Minn./Duluth Marshall) prevailed 7-6 (4), 6-2 at No. 2, RJ Griffiths (Jr. - Rogers, Minn.) won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 and Kole Kolinski (Sr. - Kewaunee, Wis./Ashwaubenon) took the No. 4 match 6-4, 7-6 (6). Jared Lawatsch (Fr. - Neenah, Wis.) took the No. 6 singles match 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (7).
Kolinski and Roseth won at No. 1 doubles 8-3. Bush and Griffiths won 8-7 (3) at No. 3 doubles.
The win concluded the regular season for the Blugolds. They'll be back in action at the NJAC Finals on Saturday, April 29.
