Men's tennis defeated by Grinnell

ROCHESTER, Minn. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team fell to Grinnell 7-2 on Saturday. The Blugolds picked up one victory apiece in singles and doubles during the dual.

Results

John Foley (Sr. - Wayzata, Minn.) got the sole singles victory for UW-Eau Claire. He prevailed in the No. 4 flight, winning 7-6 (2), 7-6 (5). Demetri Bush (Sr. - Edina, Minn./Duluth Marshall) and Foley teamed up to win at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-4.

Bush also neared a victory at No. 1 singles, but fell in a third-set tiebreak.

The Blugolds will be back in action on Saturday, March 18, when UW-Stevens Point and Cardinal Stritch visit the Menard YMCA Tennis Center in Eau Claire. Play is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
