Box Score

The Blugolds were defeated for the first time since Nov. 5 as the Lakers dominated early using the power play to their advantage, scoring two of their three goals with a man advantage.

Oswego State started strong in this one on home ice after losing their last three games. Andrew Barton put the Lakers up 1-0 at the 7:33 mark of the first period.

The Lakers would add two more goals in the second period with both coming on the power play to make it 3-0 heading to the second intermission in a game where the Blugolds struggled to stay out of the sin bin committing seven total penalties.

The Blugolds found life early in the third period on a goal from the slot from Todd Koritzinsky (Jr. - Verona, WI) assisted by Alex Strand (Fr. - Roseau, MN) and David Henry (Sr. - Foster City, CA) to make it 3-1.

Patrick Moore made it a one goal game with 6:33 left in the period as he found the back of the net to make it 3-2 with assists coming from Lucas Kohls (Jr. - Forest Lake, MN) and Tyler Hart (So. - Woodbury, MN).

Despite the strong comeback effort, the Blugolds were unable to find the tying goal in this one, failing to deliver Oswego State their fourth consecutive loss.

Goaltender Jay Deo (Sr. - Langley, British Columbia) made his 15th straight start and saved 25 of the 28 shots he faced in the loss to fall to 10-2-3 on the season.
