MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's diver Matt McMahon (Eau Claire, Wis. /Memorial) has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.
McMahon won the one-meter diving event with a score of 255.60 in the Blugolds’ win over UW-La Crosse on Nov. 5. In a close meet with the WIAC rival, the first year diver came up big for the Blugolds with several challenging dives to help secure the 128-112 win. Matt also took fourth in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 191.85.
The swim and dive teams will host UW-Oshkosh on November 19 at 1:00pm.
