STEVENS POINT, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's swimming and diving team had a strong finish at the UW-Stevens Point Invite, placing second behind host UW-Stevens Point.
The Blugolds tallied 1,118 points while UW-Stevens Point won with 1,367.
Collin Miller and Ben Fisher took the top honors in the 100-yard breaststroke as Miller recorded a time of 59.96 while Fisher finished in 1:01.13.
Nicholas Meints was second in the 400-yard IM and 200-yard backstroke with times of 4:19.66 and 2:00.90, respectively.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Miller, Fisher, Ryan Young and Logan Coert took second with a time of 1:37.93 while Caleb Odmark was third in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:51.36
Young also took second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.56 and diver Dylan Glumac-Berberich was second in the three-meter dive, tallying a score of 385.55
The Blugolds will be back in action Friday as they travel to St. Paul to take on the University of St. Thomas.
