EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships will be held March 15-18 at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas. Competing in this week's national event are ten Blugolds from the men's and women's swimming and diving teams. Among those are four women's swimmers, five men's swimmers, and one diver from the men's squad.

Of the 527 total participants (479 swimmers and 48 divers) that are set to compete in the championships, Samantha Senczyszyn (So.-Grafton, WI) has received the most recognition on the Blugolds' roster.

The returning National Champion in the 100-yard breaststroke is set to defend that title, as she currently has the top time in the nation in that event. Additionally, Senczyszyn holds the top time in the 200-yard breaststroke as well. In fact, Swimming World Magazine has picked her as the favorite to win both events.

Individually, Senczyszyn also qualified in the 400-yard medley and 50-yard freestyle (in which she has the third fastest time in the nation). She will compete alongside Jessica Short (Jr.-Grafton, WI), Sara Hagen (Fr.-McFarland, WI), and Brittany Farr (So.-Madison, WI/James Madison Memorial) in the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, and 200-yard medley relay.

Short also qualified in the 400-yard medley, 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and 200-yard individual medley. Hagen qualified in the 400-yard medley, 100-yard breaststroke, and 200-yard breaststroke. Farr will join the other three in competing in the 400-yard medley as well.

On the men's side, Collin Miller (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) will compete in a team-high seven events. Joining him in the 200-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay are Ben Fisher (Sr.-Roselle, IL/Lake Park), Logan Coert (Jr.-Cedarburg, WI/Cedarburg), and Jack Kelly (Jr.-Medina, MN/Wayzata).

The team of Miller, Fisher, Coert, and Caleb Odmark (So.-White Bear Lake, MN) will represent the Blugolds in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Miller, Fisher, Coert, and Kelly will all take part in the 400-yard medley as well. Additionally, Miller is set to compete in the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, and the 100-yard breaststroke.

The lone Blugolds diver in the championships this year is Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Fr.-Fridley, MN). The freshman qualified and will compete in the one meter and three meter diving competitions.

There will be live video streams for each session from Wednesday through Saturday of the championships on NCAA.com.
