  • Five Blugolds Earn Athlete of the Week Honors

    MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com) - Several UW- Eau Claire athletes named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week honors this morning as announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations, Matt Stanek. These Athletes include: women's cross-country runner Erika Owens, football kicker Austin Kolden, swimmers Collin Miller and Samantha Senczyszyn, and diver Dylan Glumac.
  • Cross Country Announces Team Awards

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country program announced the 2015 team awards on Sunday evening at their year-end banquet. The awards, which are decided by team voting, include: Most Valuable Newcomer, Most Improved, Most Valuable and the Blugold Award.

    NEW ORLEANS (Blugolds.com) – Lucy Ramquist (Sr.-River Falls, WI) of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s cross country team was named the MidwestRegion Athlete of the Year for the 2015 NCAA Division III Cross Country season, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as voted on by the Division’s coaches.
  • Cross Country Teams Bound For National Meet

    ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Blugolds.com) - It was a great day for the UW-Eau Claire cross country teams who competed at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Augustana College at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, IL. The Blugolds took advantage of Saturday’s ideal racing conditions; which were perfect for mid-November with sunshine, a light breeze and temps in the mid 50’s; with the women placing fifth of 40 teams and the men finishing first of 38 teams both advancing to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships this upcoming Saturday.

    OSHKOSH, WI (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire competed at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Cross Country Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh at Lake Breeze Golf Course on Saturday, October 31st. The weather created challenging conditions with gusty winds, temps in the mid 40’s and a consistent drizzle that provided plenty of mud for competitors to race through. The Blugold women placed 3rd of 8 teams with 72 points behind UW-Oshkosh and UW-La Crosse.

(Blugolds.com) – The cool and rainy conditions on Friday afternoon set the stage for another impressive performance by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s and men’s cross country team who hosted the 2nd annual “City Wells” 5K on Friday, October 23rd at the Eau Claire municipal well fields on the north side of town.

Maplewood, MInn./North St. Paul), men's cross country runner Christian Leitner (Sr.-Red Wing, Minn.), women's cross country runner Lucy Ramquist (Sr.-River Falls, Wis.) and women's golfer Allison Chomniak (Fr.-Pewaukee, Wis./Hartland Arrowhead ) have each been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

    NORTHFIELD, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The No. 19-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s cross country team competed at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday, finishing fourth out of 20 teams with 111 points.
