Five Blugolds named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida (Blugolds.com) – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced Monday with five Blugolds claiming honors.

Senior Abbie Ter Maat (Stevens Point, WI/SPASH), along with juniors Anna Uzpen (Osceola, WI) and Jessica Rudnicki (Sun Prairie, WI) and freshmen Julia Hayden (Mondovi, WI/Durand) and Megan Crawford (Forest Lake, MN) made the list after achieving a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. A total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers were recognized by the organization this year.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
