Three Blugold Women's Basketball Players Recognized by WIAC

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Three UW-Eau Claire women's basketball players have been recognized by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with the announcement of the All-WIAC team today.

Teenie Lichtfuss (So.-Oshkosh, Wis./Lourdes) led the Blugolds by being named to the first team for the first time in her career. She had a team-high 13.9 points, 3.52 assists and 2.52 steals per game, all of which ranked fourth best in the WIAC. Lichtfuss was second on the team in rebounding, averaging 4.8 per game, and led the team and conference in minutes played per game.

Courtney Lewis (Jr.-Prairie du Chien, Wis.) was honorably mentioned. Lewis was second on the team and 10th in the WIAC in scoring, averaging 11.4 points per game. She also led the team and was 13th in the WIAC in rebounding, averaging 5.7 per contest. Lewis also finished second on the team in average minutes played and assists. Lewis was previously honorably mentioned in 2013.

Rachel Egdorf (Jr.-Mishicot, Wis.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team, which was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.  It included one member from each school.
