Plendl is just the 12th Blugold in program history to earn All-American honors and only the third to earn D3hoops.com All-American recognition. Most recently, Michelle Burns was named a WBCA All-American in 2008 while Kristi Channing was the last Blugold to be honored by D3hoops.com as she was a second team All-American in 2003.

Plendl, who was an All-Conference first team pick along with being named to the All-Defensive team, led the Blugolds and conference in rebounding and blocked shots this season. Averaging a double-double, she pulled down 11.3 rebounds per game and scored 13.6 points per game, a team-high and fourth best in the WIAC. Plendl was also third in the conference in field goal percentage with a mark of 55.4 percent (143-for-258).

Plendl also averaged 4.07 blocked shots per game, a team and league-best, along with the sixth-best mark in NCAA Division III. She finished with 114 blocked shots this season, a new school and conference record for most in a season. Plendl also set a school record for most blocked shots in a career with 259, which was the second all-time in the WIAC.
