Glaser Relieved of Coaching Duties

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Director of Athletics, Dan Schumacher announced today that Head Football Coach Todd Glaser has been notified that his contract will not be renewed, and his duties as head football coach have ended, effective immediately.

Glaser was 40-62 in his 10 seasons, making one playoff appearance in 2007 after finishing second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

Hired in March of 2006, Glaser became the 15th coach in program history. He first became a Blugold in 1987 when he played football for head coach Jim Lind. Prior to coaching at UW-Eau Claire, Glaser served as the head coach at Marietta College in Ohio from 2003-2005.

"Today is a tough day. Coach Glaser has been a part of this University and football program for 20 plus years." said Schumacher. "Coach Glaser and his staff have had a positive impact on hundreds of young men that have been part of Blugold Football. Coach Glaser will have a lasting impact on the University, the Chippewa Valley and NCAA Division III Football. I wish Todd and his family all the best in the future."

A national search for a new coach will be conducted immediately.
