EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country runner Mason Shea (Jr. - River Falls, Wis.) has qualified for the NCAA Championships individually. Shea will compete at nationals on Saturday, Nov. 19, in Lansing, Mich.

Shea qualified by virtue of his performance at last weekend's NCAA North Regional. Shea placed 18th at regionals, and earned a spot at nationals as one of the top runners not on a qualifying team.

Shea will run at nationals for the second time in his career. He also participated last season, finishing 225th.

This year's men's championship race begins at 12 p.m. Eastern on Saturday.
