USTFCCCA Release

As a repeat champion in the javelin and the decathlon, Weaver earned the Most Outstanding Men's Field Performer of the meet for the second straight year. Weaver's 7486 points in the decathlon were a season best and his second-best finish in his career as a Blugold. His javelin distance of 67.00m was his second-best career throw as well with a career high of 67.68m during the 2021 NCAAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Each year, the USTFCCCA honors the Outstanding Performers of the Meet at the NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Winners are determined using a formula that adds together team points scored, plus meet records (five additional points), Division III seasonal bests (three additional points) and facility records (one point). Relay points, if applicable, are split equally among the four team members.
