Two Men's Golfers Honored by Golf Coaches Association of America

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Blugolds.com) – Two UW-Eau Claire men's golfers have been honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America with the announcement of the organization's Division III All-Region and All-Freshman teams.

Selected to the All-Region Central team was Brady Hanson (Fr.-Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge) while Joey Dreier (Fr.-New London, Minn.) was named to the All-Freshman team, one of just six freshmen in the nation to be selected to the team.

Hanson led the Blugolds this season, averaging 74.9 strokes per round while competing in a total of 11 rounds in six different tournaments. He finished in the top 10 five times, in the top five three times and won one event, the Twin Cities Classic last fall that featured 100 golfers.

Dreier had the fourth best average for Eau Claire this season, 76.4 strokes per round, golfing in 13 rounds and seven tournaments. He finished in the top 10 twice with his top finish coming at the Twin Cities Classic where he tied for eighth place.
