MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Michael Bylander (Jr. - Baxter, MN/Brainerd) and Sarah Dahlk (Jr. - Verona, WI/Middleton) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.
In a dual meet at UW-Stevens Point on March 6, Bylander established a pool record in three individual events and one relay competition. He won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.88 seconds, the 200-yard individual medley in 1:51.28 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:57.84. His 200-yard breaststroke performance also set a school record and is currently the top time in NCAA Division III. He was also part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team, which established a pool record, the winning 200-yard freestyle relay and the second-place 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Dahlk won both one-meter and three-meter diving events against UW-Stevens Point on March 6. Her one-meter score of 259.90 is a NCAA zone qualifying score, as well as an All-American consideration score. She took first in the three-meter with a score of 250.65.
