Miller finishes third, Senczyszyn ninth on day one of NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Blugolds.com) – On day one of the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, Collin Miller (Jr. – Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) earned All-American honors while Sam Senczyszyn (Sr. – Grafton, WI) won the consolation final for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Miller, who entered the meet seeded fourth in the 200-yard individual medley, broke the school record with a time of 1:47.78. He broke his own record again in the finals, clocking in at 1:47.69 to finish in third place.

In the 50 freestyle, Senczyszyn won the consolation final with a time of 23.32 to take ninth place overall and improved on her prelims time of 23.46.

Thursday will be an off day for both swimmers while Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Jr. – Fridley, MN) competes in the 1-meter dive. The trials will begin at 10 AM EST with the finals beginning at 6 PM EST.
