LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team traveled to La Crosse on Friday night for the 39th Annual Gershon/McLellan Invitational where the Blugolds took third place.

Ashley Benes (Jr. - Grand Rapids, MN) led the Blugolds on vault, tying for sixth with a 9.150 while Emma Barry (Fr. – Allen Park, MI) placed seventh on the uneven parallel bars with 9.150.
Jordan Ehde (Sr. - Stillwater, MN) was the highest Blugold finisher on both the balance beam and floor exercise. On beam, she finished tied for ninth with an 8.525 and on floor, took seventh with a 9.125. Ehde also placed third in the all-around with a score of 35.075.
The Blugolds will be back at home on Thursday, February 6 as they host Hamline University at 6 p.m.
