NEW ORLEANS (blugolds.com) – Scholar Athletes of the Year and All-Academic Athletes for the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track & Field seasons were announced on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s track & field team were named Outdoor National Scholar Team of the Year after capturing the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship and posting a cumulative GPA of 3.27. The women’s team was named an All-Academic team with a 3.5 cumulative GPA and 31 total Blugolds earned All-Academic Athlete honors.

GENEVA, OH (blugolds.com)— On the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Meet, the Blugolds men’s and women’s track and field teams brought home more incredible performances to cap off an amazing weekend. The men’s team, bringing home impressive performance after impressive performance, won the national championship with 73 points, running away from the competition and scoring the most points in an outdoor NCAA Division III Championship by a team since 2007. That was the highest point total the Blugold men have ever scored at a national championship.

INDIANAPOLIS (blugolds.com) — The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Committee have announced the participants in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships that are set to take place on May 26th through the 28th at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
LA CROSSE, WI (blugolds.com)— On the second day of the WIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Blugold men’s and women’s track and field teams finished out a strong day of competition on a sunny Saturday. On the women’s side, the Blugolds finished 2nd as a team, finishing with 137 points. Meet hosts UW-La Crosse won the meet with 293.5 points. On the men’s side, the Blugolds finished 3rd as a team, finishing with 131.5 points. UW-Oshkosh won the team title with 180 points.

After the first day of competition, the men’s team currently sits in 2nd place with 37 points, with meet host UW-La Crosse in 1st place with 67 points. The women’s team sits in 4th place with 21 points, with meet host UW-La Crosse in 1st place with 93 points.

LA CROSSE, WI (blugolds.com)- On the third day of competition at the Phil Esten Challenge, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s and women’s track teams competed strongly on a blustery, windy day at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The women’s team scored 112 points to take 2nd place as a team, behind meet host UW-La Crosse who scored 227 points. The men’s team scored 117.5 points to take 3rd as a team, behind UW-Oshkosh and UW-La Crosse.

PLATTEVILLE, WI (blugolds.com)— On a breezy, brisk Friday evening, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s and women’s track & field teams competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational, competing against a strong WIAC-filled field. Both the men’s and women’s team placed 2nd overall in the team standings, with the women scoring 102.5 points and the men scoring 89.5 points.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Beginning with the 2021 fall sports season, the Mayo Clinic Health System has been named the new provider of sports medicine services for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletics. Clinical staff from the Mayo Clinic Health System Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department will provide services including sideline support, radiology, concussion management, procedures and surgical care, physical therapy and rehabilitation for Blugold athletes on all 25 men's and women's athletic teams.
