Blugolds Welcome Triplett To Football Family

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire football team has announced the hiring of Tim Triplett as the team's Wide Receiver's Coach and Passing Game Coordinator. 

Tim Triplett enters his first season on the UW-Eau Claire football coaching staff in 2020-21. Triplett will coach the wide receivers and serve as the Passing Game Coordinator.

Triplett joins the Blugold staff from the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) where he served as Recruiting and Special Teams Coordinator. During his time with the Tommies, the program bolstered a 39-7 record under Head Coach Glenn Caruso.

While coaching at the DIII level, Triplett joined the high school ranks by holding multiple positions at Holy Catholic Family High School in May 2018. Triplett served as the school's Head Football Coach and Assistant Activities Director since that time.

Prior to his time in Minnesota, Triplett worked at his alma mater, the University of South Dakota. Triplett served as Assistant Football Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator and as an adjunct instructor in the department of Health and Human Performance. 

In 2007, Triplett joined the Wayne State Wildcats as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach. During his time with the Warriors, Triplett earned his master's degree in athletic administration.

Triplett graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2005 where he played five years for the Coyotes. Triplett earned Special Teams Player of the Year and served as Team Captain during his senior year
