Title: Assistant Coach (Distance)
Season: 1st Year

Elise is in her first year as a volunteer/assistant distance coach. She is also currently enrolled at UWEC as a graduate student in the Doctor of Nursing Program and works as a Registered Nurse at a hospital in Eau Claire.

Elise obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University in 2014, where she was also a top runner on the Cross Country and Track and Field Teams between 2011-2013. During her time at ISU, she was part of the Missouri Valley Conference cross country champions team for both 2011 and 2012 seasons. She was all conference both seasons as well, and earned the Elite 18 Award for cross country and indoor track 2011-2012. Elise was also a Missouri Valley all-conference performer in the 3k and 5k indoors, along with the 5k and Steeplechase for outdoor track. Elise was the MVC conference champion in the steeplechase in 2013. A highlight of her career was winning the steeplechase at the Drake Relays in 2013.

Prior to her career at ISU, she was a student athlete at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where she currently still holds in the indoor mile school record at 4:52. She was a Horizon League Conference champion in the indoor 3k and 5k in 2011 and an all-conference performer in the 10k and 5k for outdoor track. She earned all-region honors in cross country her freshman and sophomore years while at UWM.

Elise continues to run road races of various distances for fun and is currently an Eau Claire Marathon ambassador.

Elise lives in Bloomer with her husband Curt, who coaches the throwing events for UWEC. They have a chihuahua named Zeus and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible.
