EAU CLAIRE,WIS. (Blugolds.com)- The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team dropped a close match to St. Scholastica Sunday morning, but turned around and swept UW-River Falls later Sunday afternoon.

Sarah Henderson (So. Prior Lake, Minn.) earned a win at number one singes defeating Jessica Solberg (CSS) 6-4, 6-2. Colleen McCullough (Sr. Maple Grove, Minn.) edged out a close win at number three singles, winning 6-4, 6-7, 10-5, while Paige Kuepers  (Sr. Green Bay, Wis./Southwest) defeated Daniela Rojas (CSS) at number four singles 6-0, 6-3.4

Scholastica able to seal the victory with wins at number one and number three doubles. Kuepers and partner Olivia Gallagher (Jr. Lodi, Wis.) defeated Hauer/Rojas (CSS)  8-6 at number two doubles. 

Later Sunday afternoon the Blugolds swept UW-River Falls 9-0. Sarah Henderson and McCullough won 8-0 at number one doubles. Gallagher and Kuepers earned an 8-2 win at number two doubles, while Molly Sanvik (Fr. Winona, Minn.) and Brook Volpone (So. Monticello, Minn.) finished the doubles sweep with an 8-2 win. 

The Blugolds swept singles play to finish the dominating win over the Falcons. The UW-Eau Claire  women's tennis team now 13-6 will be back in action Friday April 15.
