Cade Stackpool enters his first season as a women's head golf coach in 2023-24 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

In addition to leading the Women's Golf program, Stackpool will retain his duties as assistant men's basketball coach under Matt Siverling.

During the 2019-20 basketball season, Stackpool helped the basketball program reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 19 years. The Blugolds opened the tournament with a 78-61 win over Whitman College (WA), but fell in the round of 32 to Saint John’s University (MN). UWEC was one of three WIAC teams to make the tournament after they knocked off UW-Platteville in the WIAC Championship semifinals. Five Blugold basketball players received All-WIAC honors during the historic season.

Prior to joining the Blugold basketball staff, Stackpool served as a graduate assistant at Augustana University from 2017-2019 for the men's basketball team. During his time on the Vikings' staff, he earned his Master's Degree in Sports Administration and Leadership, become NSIC South Division champions in 2018-2019, coached NSIC Freshman of the year and 2 All-Conference athletes, assisted with recruiting, team travel, player development and scouting, and served as director of social media for the team.

In college, Cade played basketball for three seasons at UW-Superior and was student assistant in his senior year.

His dad (Tom) and grandpa (Jack) both have over 30 years of coaching experience.
