GREENSBORO, NC. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete at the Gate City Invitational hosted by Greensboro College. The Blugolds will compete at Starmount Country Club which is a Par 71 and 6682 yard course. After day one the Blugolds sit in 8th place with a score of 586 after two rounds of play.
Connor Brown (Sr.-Racine, WI) and Cory Boerner (Jr.-Bloomington, MN/Kennedy) finish day one in sitting in the top 25 overall. Brown scored a 72 and 73 which puts him at 22nd, and Boerner sit in 25th after posting scores of 75 and 71. The team will continue the tournament tomorrow, September 27th at Startmount Country Club.
