EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - Five UW-Eau Claire Athletics teams were in action today, three at home and two on the road.

Women's Swimming & Diving

MSU-Moorhead 168.5, UW-Eau Claire 131.5

Five Blugold women's swimmers and divers won a total of six events as the Blugolds hosted Minnesota State University-Moorhead in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight. Amanda Baker led the team as she won both the one and three-meter dives.

Wrestling

UW-La Crosse 44, UW-Eau Claire 3

In the first WIAC dual of the season, the wrestling team fell 44-3 to 21st-ranked UW-La Crosse in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight. Nathaniel Behnke, ranked No. 1 in the nation at 141 pounds, was the lone Blugold to pick up a win.

Women's Hockey

UW-River Falls 2, UW-Eau Claire 0

Hosting UW-River Falls in a WIAC contest at Hobbs Ice Center, the women's hockey team was unable to score, falling 2-0 to the Falcons tonight. River Falls scored less than six minutes into the game but neither team would score again until late in the third. The final goal of the game came from the Falcons with less than three minutes left.

Men's Hockey

St. Norbert 5, UW-Eau Claire 2

In a game that saw no first-period goals, St. Norbert scored four goals in the second period and the Blugolds couldn't catch up as they fell for the first time this season to end an eight-game winning streak going back to last season. The Blugolds are ranked No. 1 in the nation while St. Norbert is No. 2.

Men's Basketball

Bethel University (Minn.) 74, UW-Eau Claire 67

A slow stretch midway through the first half proved to be the streak-buster for the men's basketball team, as a 74-67 loss at the hands of host Bethel University (Minn.) in the Bethel University Tournament ended the team's undefeated start to the season. Forward Kurtis Moody led the Blugolds with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting. He also grabbed 12 rebounds to earn his first double-double of the season.
