Deavon Puck enters his first year at UW-Eau Claire as the Blugolds’ Wide Receivers coach in 2023.

Puck joins the Blugold football staff after coaching at Union College for two seasons. As the Dutchmen’s Wide Receivers coach, Deavon helped Union’s offense rank 1st in the Liberty League in passing yards per game and offensive efficiency in 2022. In 2021, the Dutchmen ranked first in their conference in scoring, red zone efficiency, and conversions on 3rd and 4th down.

While at Union, Puck had one wideout named Liberty League Rooke of the Year, three players named to All-Liberty League, and one D3Football All-Region.

Before Union College, Deavon spent 18 months as a graduate assistant and wide receivers coach at Saint Ambrose University. As part of his duties there, Puck recruited receivers to SAU, served as an assistant equipment manager, and was responsible for video breakdown, scout work and academic monitoring.

Puck previously served as a volunteer assistant coach at Illinois College in 2019 after a four-year career under center with the Blueboys from 2015-18. He was voted team captain as a senior and a two-year member of the team’s Leadership Council.
