Dr. Douglas Bartels is an orthopedic surgeon in Eau Claire, WI and is affiliated with Mayo Clinic Health Systems. Dr. Bartels came to Eau Claire in 2022 from Stanford University where he completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship. He completed an orthopedic residency in Rochester, MN at Mayo Clinic and received his medical degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Prior to medical school, Dr. Bartels attended Northwestern University and was a three-time academic all-Big Ten member of the Northwestern football team. A native of Rockford, IL, Dr. Bartels will serve the student-athletes of UW-Eau Claire as a specialist in orthopedic injury management and care.
