    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – In the final rankings for the 2021-22 Division III LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire finished 16th with the program’s third-highest point total of 715.50 points.

    LOUISVILLE, KY. (blugolds.com) Earning bids to the NCAA DIII Cross Country Nationals, the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds took on the best of DIII this Saturday at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky. This year’s edition of the national meet was one of the fastest and deepest fields on record, with the Men’s Individual Champion Alex Phillip of John Carroll University and the Women’s Individual Champion Kassie Parker of Loras College setting National meet records in their respective races.
  • Eight Blugolds Receive USTFCCCA All-Region Recognition

    NEW ORLEANS (blugolds.com) – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named the All-Region honorees for the 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country season on Monday by the following Regional Championships Saturday. A total of eight Blugold athletes received honors for the success during the 2021 season.
  • Women’s Cross Country 2nd, Men’s Cross Country 4th at Luther Saga Cup

    DECORAH, IA (blugolds.com) In the final meet before the NCAA Postseason competition begins, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country teams traveled down to Luther College for the Luther Saga Cup. The women’s team finished 2nd behind a strong Wartburg women’s team, with the Knights scoring 26 points and the Blugolds scoring 33 points.
  • Shult Runner-Up, Women’s Cross Country 2nd, Men’s Cross Country 4th at WIAC Championships

    COLFAX, WI. (blugolds.com) On a brisk and sunny Saturday morning, the Blugolds took on the rest of the WIAC at the WIAC Championship meet, with the women’s cross country team taking 2nd place, with 62 points. UW-La Crosse won the women’s race, scoring 33 points. The men’s cross country team took home 4th place, with UW-La Crosse winning the meet, scoring 31 points.
  • Rauvola, Hady, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams win City Wells 5k

    EAU CLAIRE, WI. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s and women’s cross country teams were both victorious in the City Wells 5k, taking home wins over UW-Stout in a dual meet setting. Held at the Eau Claire City Municipal Wells, the men scored 22 points to Stout’s 39, while the women put up a perfect score of 15 points, bringing home the first five runners in the race.

    WEST SALEM, WI. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire men’s cross country team finished 3rd at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational, scoring 89 points. The  women’s cross country team took home 2nd place, scoring 61 points. The men’s team champion was UW-La Crosse, scoring 60 points, and the women’s team champion was also UW-La Crosse, scoring 19 points.
  • Women’s Cross Country wins the Blugold Invitaitional, Men’s Cross Country finishes 5th

    COLFAX, WI. (blugolds.com) – On a hot and humid afternoon, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women’s cross country team took home the win at the Blugold Invitational, taking the edge over Carleton on a tie break, with each team scoring 70 points. The men’s team finished 5th, tying with St. Olaf for 4th, with the Oles gaining the edge on the tie break, with each team scoring 131 points. The men’s team champion was UW-Whitewater, scoring 38 points.

(Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Katie Faris (Sr. - Chippewa Falls, WI/Chi-hi), Lindsey Henderson (Sr. - Prior Lake, MN), Elaine Franta (Jr. - White Bear Lake, MN), and Kendra Baierl (Sr. - Marshfield, WI/Columbus Catholic) have been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week, as was announced by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.
  • Blugold Cross Country Teams Take 3rd in Northfield, MN

    NORTHFIELD, Minn. (blugolds.com) – Competing in their first cross country meet against other schools in two years, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's cross country teams captured a third place finishes at the St. Olaf Invitational. The men finished with 68 points out of 13 teams and the women scored 57 points, out of the 15 teams competing on their side. The meet champion for the men was the host, St. Olaf, scoring 46 points and for the women was UW-La Crosse, with 42 points.

    EAU CLAIRE, WI (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted their annual Alumni Open on Saturday at the Eau Claire City Municipal Well Fields. Both squads won their respective races with the men totaling 25 points and the women tallying 24 points.
  • Mayo Clinic Health System named sports medicine provider for UWEC Athletics

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Beginning with the 2021 fall sports season, the Mayo Clinic Health System has been named the new provider of sports medicine services for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletics. Clinical staff from the Mayo Clinic Health System Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department will provide services including sideline support, radiology, concussion management, procedures and surgical care, physical therapy and rehabilitation for Blugold athletes on all 25 men's and women's athletic teams.
