MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its award recipients for the 2021 women's indoor track & field based on voting by the league coaches. Megan Wallace (Sr. - Burlington, WI) was named Field Performer of the Year.
Wallace ranked first in the WIAC and NCAA Division III in the pentathlon. Her score of 3,754 points was 170 points better than any other score in the nation and ranked her as the fourth-best performer in NCAA Division III history in the event. She also ranked fourth in the conference and seventh in NCAA Division III in the long jump with a leap of 18-4 1/4 (5.59m). Wallace also produced marks of 43-7 3/4 (13.30m) and 5-3 1/4 (1.61m) in the shot put and high jump, respectively, that ranked her sixth in the conference.
Along with Wallace, eight other Blugolds earned All-WIAC honors. Recognitions were based on overall finish in athletes' respective events.
