Eau Claire, WI (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving teams hosted the UW-Whitewater Warhakws. Th Blugolds had a clean sweep on Senior Night against the Warhawks with the Women winning 121-64 and the men 128-58.
Coach Ryder made a statement that today was all about the seniors. We honored our seniors with the team coming together for fast racing and really great diving. We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and been through these last four years. They have been through two tough seasons with covid and have handled it incredibly well, are leaders on the team, and we are so happy for the next step in their journey. The team swam and dove incredibly well and I am so proud of how they handled winter training and performed today. We are looking forward to what the championship season has in store for this amazing group.
Sarah Dahlk (Sr.-Verona, Wi/Middleton) got the 3M dual meet school record. The previous record was held by Sarah Mulatz and set in 1995. Sarah also got NCAA zone cuts on both boards. Quincy Kabe (So.- Buffalo, MN) , Martin Kocher (Jr.- St. Paul, MN/Johnson) and Ben Koller (So.- Savage, MN/Shakopee) also achieved NCAA zone cuts on both boards.
