Women's Soccer Bounces Back with 3-1 Road Win

SAINT PETER, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team traveled to Gustavus Adolphus College on Sunday for an afternoon nonconference matchup. After taking the lead in the first half, the Blugolds would maintain their momentum and earn a 3-1 away from home.

Lola Ruff (So. – St. Louis Park, MN) started things off with a goal in the 15th minute to give UWEC the 1-0 lead. Amanda Iverson (Fr. – La Crescent, MN) earned an assist on the first tally of the game.

Thirty minutes later, Grace Prairie (Fr. – Blaine, MN/Centennial) would extend the Blugold lead to 2-0 with her first goal of her Blugold career.

In the second half, the Gusties struck back in the 75th minute, but Iverson sealed the game with a goal of her own just ten minutes later. Elise Pinewski (Fr. – Anoka, MN) would tally an assist in the play for the 3-1 victory.

Kennedy Boll (Fr. – Franklin, WI) stopped all sox shots she faced in the 3-1 win. Boll's record improves to 4-0-1 on the season.

The Blugolds will return home on Wednesday, October 20th for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match against UW-Stevens Point. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 PM.
