EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer schedule has been officially announced for the 2021 season. The Blugolds went 14-6 overall and 5-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during the 2019 campaign.
Eau Claire will open the season at home, facing off against Augsburg (Minn.) on September 1st. They'll go on the road for their next two, at Concordia-Moorhead and St. Scholastica (Minn.), before a five-game home stand. All home games will be played at the newly renovated Simpson Field on the upper campus of UW-Eau Claire.
The WIAC opener will take place on October 2nd at home against UW-Oshkosh. They'll also welcome conference opponents UW-Stout (Oct. 13), UW-Whitewater (Oct. 16), and UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 20).
The Blugolds will wrap up their regular season slate with UW-Platteville on October 30th. The WIAC Quarterfinals will kick off a few days later on Tuesday, November 2nd and wrap up with the Championship on the 6th.
The Division III NCAA Regionals are scheduled to take place from November 12th-14th. The Tournament will take place over the next few weeks, finishing up with the Final Four on December 3rd-5th. Eau Claire is hoping to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2008 season.
Another team that had their 2020 season cancelled, the Blugolds are eager to be able to safely play again.
