Blugold Wrestling PreviewNovember 02, 2018EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - For the first time in school history, the Blugold wrestling program has had back-to-back winning records in dual meets at 9-5 in 2016-17 and 11-6 in 2017-18. In the three years that Tim Fader has been head coach, the Blugolds have produced a 26-21 record compared to a 16-96 mark in the previous six seasons. As a veteran of 19 seasons in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Fader’s ultimate goal for the Blugolds would be to crack the top three in the conference and the top 10 at the NCAA Division III National Championships. The Blugolds have never finished higher than third in the league and 15th at the nationals. “I’d like to have that expectation every year, that UW-Eau Claire is consistently one of the top programs in the country,” explained Fader.
