Blugold Wrestlers Fall to 8th-ranked Luther

DECORAH, Iowa (blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team fell to 8th ranked Luther Tuesday night, 36-12 in Decorah.

Robert Rocole (So.-Lakewood, WI) recorded the first win for the Blugolds, winning by decision, 6-1 over Tristan Zurfluh at 157 pounds.

Teammate Josh Cormican (So.-Boyceville,WI) won by fall (1:44) over Luther's Paxton Jordahl at 197 pounds while Justin Karkula (So.-Oshkosh, WI) won the final match at 285 pounds, defeating Tom Tourdot by decision, 3-2.

The Blugolds will be back in action at home on December 4th as they host UW-Platteville 7 p.m.
