Gymnastics Set Season Highs at WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional

WHITEWATER, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team competed at the 2022 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships on Saturday. The meet doubled as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional with eight if the WIAC Teams competing. The Blugolds set season highs once again as the team posted the fifth highest team score in school history with 187.450 points.

Results

UW-Eau Claire continued to improve in Head Coach Jessie Deziel first year. The team set season high scores on the vault, beam, and the floor as they finished fifth during the postseason meet.

Andrea O'Connell (Fr. - Blue Mound, WI/Mount Horeb) earned All-WIAC honors with a fourth-place finish on the floor. O'Connell set a personal best with her 9.7 score.

Also earning All-WIAC honors was Tia Ravara (So. - San Leandro, CA/Bishop O'Dowd) who scored a 9.550 on the beam. Ravara finished tied for 8th with her beam routine and 3rd in the All-Around standings.

The Blugolds will await the announcement of the NCGA National Championship entries list on Monday, March 7th. The NCGA National meet will take place in Ithaca, NY on March 26th at Ithaca College.
