Women's Golf Ties for 8th at 2021 Division III Classic

HASTINGS, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team wrapped up day two of the 2021 Division III Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolpus College in Hastings, MN. After two rounds of play at the Emerald Greens Golf Course, the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds tied for 8th place with a weekend score of 648 (+72) strokes. The overall champion was Bethel University with a total of 625 (+49) strokes.

Results

Jaden Woiwode (Fr. – River Falls, WI) was the top UWEC finisher shooting a pair of 79's, good enough for a placement tie at 12th overall.

Lexi Meade (Jr. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) was not far behind shooting an 80 in round 1 and a 79 in round two. Meade finished the tournament tied for 14th overall.

The Blugolds will take a week off to practice before returning to competition on October 1st when they will play in the Falcon Invitational hosted by UW-River Falls.
