OSHKOSH, WI (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team competed in the UW-Oshkosh Titan Classic on Saturday and Sunday to start their 2021 season. After being only ten shots from the lead at the conclusion of day one, the Blugolds finished 3rd overall as a team.
Three UWEC golfers tied for ninth overall after the 36 holes. Lexi Meade (Jr. – Eau Claire, WI/Memorial), Megan Glaeser (Sr. – Freedom, WI/Fox Valley Lutheran), and Jaden Woiwode (River Falls, WI) all shot +26 through the two days to place them all in the top 10 for scores.
Glaeser was one of the top scorers on par three's by going +4 for the invite. Meade was at the top of the list for the par five's only gaining two strokes throughout the weekend. Woiwode tallied the most pars on for both rounds with 16 total.
The Blugolds will be back on the course next weekend, September 11th and 12th when they host the Georgianni Blugold Invitational. Round one will be held at Mill Run Golf Course and round two will be played at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club.
