CORAL SPRINGS, FL (blugolds.com) - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced last Thursday the 2020-21 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Awards for NCAA Divisions I, II, III and NAIA.
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team earned the seventh highest grade-point average (3.809) amongst all D-III teams during the 2020-21 season. Along with their fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship, the Blugolds were the top WIAC school in terms of cumulative gpa. UW-River Falls was the second highest WIAC school coming in 18th place (3.678).
This is the first time in four years that the Blugolds have finished in the top-25. In 2017-18, the WGCA began recognizing the top-25 teams in each division (Division I, II and III).
Macalester College (Minn.) led NCAA Division III programs with a 3.944 grade point average.
