Women's Golf Takes Fifth at DIII Midwest Classic

LAKE CITY, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in fifth place out of 15 teams after two rounds of competition at the Division III Midwest Classic at the Jewel Golf Club.

Results

The Blugolds finished with 648 strokes while Carleton College (Minn.) won the event with 628.

After being tied for ninth place following round one, Kate Engler (Sr.-Beloit, Wis./F.J. Turner) moved up five spots to tie for fourth with 157 strokes.

Grace Gilmore from Carleton won the tournament with 151 strokes.

Up next, the Blugolds will be at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational. The tournament will get underway Friday and will conclude Saturday.
