Women's Basketball Earns WBCA Honor Roll Special Mention Recognition

ATLANTA (blugolds.com) – The Women's Basketball Coaches Association has released the 2021-22 Academic Honor Rolls with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's basketball team earning Special Mention recognition for the hard work on the court and in the classroom.

WBCA Release

The Blugolds posted a team cumulative 3.55 GPA during the 2021-22 season. The team finished the year with a 22-8 record and appeared in their first NCAA Tournament since 2012. UWEC opened the tournament with a 61-46 victory over North Central (Minn.) but was upset at home by Millikin University (Ill.), 59-56, in the second round.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2021-22 season is the 27th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
