Ruden Named to D3hoops.com First Team All-Region Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Jessie Ruden (Jr. – Rochester, MN/John Marshall) was voted to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Region 9 First Team by D3hoops.com.

Ruden adds to her collection of 2021-22 individual awards list that includes Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Co-Player of the Year, All-WIAC First Team, and three-time WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week recognition (Nov. 22 – 28, Nov. 29 - Dec. 5, Jan. 17 – 23).

On the court, Ruden helped the Blugolds win their fourth ever WIAC Championship and earned the team their 17th trip to the NCAA Championship Tournament in program history.

After leading the conference with 18.8 points per game, 77 three-point field goals made and 36.2 minutes per contest, Ruden ranked fourth with a .803 free-throw percentage and eighth with a .350 three-point field goal percentage. She eclipsed the 20-point mark in 12 of 28 contests, including a career-high 31 points in the title game of the WIAC Tournament. Ruden's eight three-point field goals against St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Nov. 23, 2021, rank second in conference archives. She led UWEC with 526 points, 77 three pointers, 194 shots made, and 1015 minutes played.
