Erickson earns spot on Academic All-District Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Sadie Erickson (So. – Norwood Young America, MN/Central) has been named to the 2020-21 Academic All-District® Softball Team, selected by CoSIDA.

CoSIDA Release

The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Baseball and Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball and softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Erickson, who was also named a NFCA First Team All-American after a stellar sophomore campaign, earned a spot on the District 6 First Team. In addition to her strong performance on the field this season, she also maintained a GPA of 3.78 as a Rehabilitation Science major.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late July.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
