LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association revealed its 2021 NFCA Division III All-Region teams today. This year's eight squads are comprised of a total of 308 student-athletes from 134 programs.
Sadie Erickson (So. – Norwood Young America, MN/Central) was named to the NFCA Great Lakes Region First Team. In her first full season as a Blugold, Erickson held a batting average of .481 with 38 RBI's, nine homeruns, 18 stolen bases, and 14 extra base hits. On defense, Erickson held a fielding percentage of .871 while playing second base.
The Blugolds finished their season with an overall record of 22-17 and finished in third place in the WIAC. UWEC lost their first-round postseason game in an 11-inning thriller, 6-5 to UW-Platteville.
