EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The home opener for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire softball team has moved up a few days, as Friday and Saturday's doubleheaders originally schedule for domes in the Twin Cities will now take place at Bollinger Field.
Thanks to a mild winter and warm temperatures as of late, Bollinger Field #2 is ready for play. The Blugolds will host Bethel University on Friday, March 12th at 2 and 4 p.m. and host St. Catherine University on Saturday, March 13th at 1 and 3 p.m.
In accordance with state and county guidelines, spectators will be allowed but all seating will be along the outfield baselines and around the outfield fence. No spectators will be permitted in the bleachers or near the dugouts. Face coverings by employees, students and spectators must be worn when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Spectators are asked to depart the facility as soon as the contest is over and will not be permitted to meet with any student-athletes at the athletic facility. No tailgating will be allowed, and no concessions will be provided. However, spectators are free to bring their own food but may not share food between households/families.
