EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country team schedule has been announced for the 2021 season.
The Blugolds will open their season on September 4th with the annual Alumni meet, with the site still to be determined. A week later, they'll compete in their first road meet of the season, traveling to St. Olaf College (Minn.) for the St. Olaf CC Invitational.
The October schedule will kick off with the Blugold Invite, scheduled at the Whitetail Golf Club in Colfax. Eau Claire will also host the City Wells 5K on October 22nd, currently scheduled at the Eau Claire City Well Fields.
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships will take place on October 30th. The Championships will also be at Whitetail Golf Club, with UW-Stout operating as the host.
NCAA Regionals will be hosted by Eau Claire on November 13th with the NCAA Nationals set to take place a week later in Louisville, Kentucky.
Although the schedule still needs to be officially confirmed, Blugold cross country athletes are excited about competing again after the cancelled 2020 season. "We are looking forward to competition this fall whatever the schedule ends up being," said Head Coach Dan Schwamberger.
