Men's Tennis Falls to Gustavus on the Road

ST. PETER, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau men's tennis team played the first of their two final nonconference matches as they crossed state lines for a contest with Gustavus Adolphus College. After close matches at #1 doubles and #2 singles, the Blugolds fell to the Gusties, 9-0.

Kole Kolinski (Sr. – Kewaunee, WI/Ashwaubenon) and Demetri Bush (Jr. – Edina, MN/Duluth Marshall) held a competitive flight at #1 doubles against Nick Aney (GAC) and Alex Budde (GAC) but fell in an 8-6 loss. Hunter Roseth (Jr. – Lakeville, MN/South) forced a tiebreaker set at #2 singles after winning the first set 7-5. Roseth dropped the following two sets 6-2 and 10-7 for the Gustavus point. The Gusties would come away with victories in all the remaining flights for a 9-0 Blugold defeat.

UW-Eau Claire will wrap up their nonconference schedule on Sunday, April 17 when they travel to Grinnell, IA to take on Grinnell College. First matches are set to begin at 10AM at the Bear Center Field House.
