Men's Tennis Keeps Rolling With Fourth Win In A Row

ROGERS, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team traveled to Minnesota on Thursday for another non-conference matchup. The Blugolds would face the Bethel Royals and come away with a 6-3 win.

Results

The Blugolds swept all three doubles. Hunter Roseth (So.-Lakeville,MN/South) and Tyler Grosz (So.-Hudson, WI) would defeat Erik Beckers (BU) and Jason Reilly (BU) 8-5 at the No. 1 spot. Demetri Bush (So.-Edina, MN/Duluth Marshall) and Kole Kolinski (Jr.-Kewaunee, WI/Ashwaubenon) would come away with a 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles. Ethan Wurtzel (Fr.-Menomonie, WI) and Ryan Fonseca (Fr.-Andover, MN) were victorious at No. 3 doubles with a 8-6 win.

At singles, Roseth continued his hot streak with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Bush followed that up with another win of his own at the No. 2 spot, 6-3, 1-6, 6-3. Grosz also found himself earning a win over Bethel's Jacob Lukkarila, 6-3, 6-3.

The Blugolds improve to 6-1 on the season and will be back in action on Friday, April 2nd when they travel to St. Thomas University.
