Jordan Singer Earns CoSIDA Academic All-American Honors

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's hockey player Jordan Singer (Sr.-Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) has been named to the 2012-13 Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-America At-Large Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Singer, a business management major, held a 3.51 GPA.

Earning NCHA and WIAC Scholar-Athlete honors, Singer ended the season earning All-American honors while also being named the NCAA Division III Championship's most outstanding player. Singer, a forward, led the Blugolds with 22 goals and 36 points. He tied for sixth on the team with 14 assists. His 22 goals was a league-high. He ended his career 15th in program history for career points with 100 and eighth with 55 goals. He is first in school history in game-winning goals with 11.

Singer becomes the 40th Blugold in history to be named to a CoSIDA Academic All-America Team. The 40 Blugolds have combined for a total of 51 awards. Singer is the first men's hockey player in school history to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.

Prior to earning the All-American honor, Singer was named to the Capital One Academic All-District first team.
