GREENSBORO, NC. (blugolds.com)-- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team traveled to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete at the Gate City Invitational hosted by Greensboro College. The invitational was a three round competition at the Startmount Country Club which is a par 71 course with yardage of 6682. The Blugolds finished in 13th place overall with a team score of 890.
After three rounds, Corey Boerner (Jr.-Bloomington, MN/Kennedy) led the way for Eau Claire scoring 75,71,72 and placing 22nd overall. Connor Brown (Sr.-Racine, WI) was right behind with an overall score of 222 over three rounds, which put him in 39th place. As a team, the Blugolds tabbed one eagle and 34 birdies over the three rounds of competition.
Eau Claire's next competition will be the UW-Stout Invitational starting Sunday, October 2nd at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, WI.
